September 25, 2007It’s Christmas Again!
It’s really funny to think that at my age today I am still hoping to meet Santa Claus in front of me. I may sound silly this time, but I know I am not the only one wishing on the same thing.
I could still remember when I was still a kid, mama and papa would ask us to hang a pair of socks upon the window or in the Christmas tree, to let Santa Clause fill in our socks with candies and toys. Aside from that, they would ask us to sleep early so that by the time we woke up early by the following day, Santa’s presents will be placed beside our bed, gift from being kind and respectful to our parents.
It was a nice experience playing with my fantasies, because I didn’t bother asking my mama and papa about what Santa had said about my socks or even about Santa’s comments on my values towards others. I was just quite enjoying my life then as a kid and I know that my experience is just an example of anybody else’s kiddie Christmas moments in this world.
I am a grown up individual today and I was able to realize how my parents had cared for us to let us feel that childhood Christmas moments. I guess, I and my younger brothers and sister were just lucky to have a parents like my mama and papa, who at their expense made us realize how important we are to them.
Today, rare of the children here in our country are currently enjoying this simple happiness. The truth is that we see them in the streets begging for an alms, selling with the goods or even in an employment under their early age. We may say that parents are quite responsible for this, but hey, it’s their only way to survive from starving!
We never realize how important it is for them to live and survive in this world. Sometimes its odd to think that these parents are somewhat unfair! Why would they bring these kids on this world when they know they cannot feed their basic needs? When they don’t have enough resources to feed them! We don’t need to blame them, but we must spare on them. They also wish to send their kids to school up tp the highest level of education, but when can they give that privilege to their kids when even themselves cannot help to survive. The least to think about the reality is that we remember about this case when christams only..*************************************************
My point here is that, we are just one of the lucky few students to study on the course we wish to finish one day. Yet we tend to forget our parents thanking them on their willingness to see us happy in their simple ways. We didn’t even care to realize how much we’ve asked for a load everyday to the extent that we almost miss to attend the class just to meet our text mates outside our school. I sometime can’t understand why it’s hard for us to value such thing, when we know that it’s important for them to know how grateful we are for all these.
I guess we don’t need to let the time pass by so easy until it’s going to be Christmas, just to tell them how much we value our parents. The time is now! It’s not on Christmas and New Year’s Day that we ought to say these things. Get rid of those new year’s resolution when you don’t mean it. It’s definitely useless and a waste of time. Do what is needed and important today. If you think that bluffing can much hurt to others and you’ve been using it for your black ideas, I guess there are things you should need to know about it…backfire will come unto you..
Sometimes, I cannot avoid to think thatit’s really nice to be young forever to let our wish be granted and ask our parents to please us from little things that they give. But time is quite precious and it keeps on running, same with our age. so the more we know that we’re growing up, the more hat we must think to care for the time, our loved ones and parents, though it’s not yet Christmas.Let us act as Santa Claus to our parents, to please them and thank their efforts.
can distinguish who among of the children around us had experienced the same wonderful kiddie Christmas of mine. I see children roaming around city selling off goods to earn, while their parents are on the same track selling of another goods. Somehow, they’ve lost their opportunity to enjoy their childhood..
